The Rebirth of Real Journalism
Explicit
September 10, 2009 03:40 AM PDT

In memory of WTVJ's Ralph Rennick, NBC's Tim Russert, and since he's not dead just retired, legendary Detroit anchorman Bill Bonds, and because apparently the Coast Guard doing what our tax money pays them to do is bigger news than what's going on in Washington D.C. Because of this, 2big2failsports takes a break from sports and focuses on real journalism, by uncovering some of the myths of the Obama administration. What is he really trying to say, what's with all these Czars, do we really need them? What's their hidden agenda? Then we go back to sports, and make our NFL picks for week 1!

The fanalysts discuss the upcoming NFL and College Football season. One chooses a team putting their stamp on the decade as Super Bowl Champs, the other chooses a surprise team based mainly off of their common alma mater. Plus Previews of each division in the NFL, including how their beloved Dolphins will do, and they discuss their pet peeves like idiots who swear that Dan Marino was on the 72 Dolphins there by putting them automatically on their infamous pompous asslist and making history by being the first ever subscriber to make it on there. Plus, President Tebow? It could happen!

Our Fanalysts celebrate episode 10, by giving it an X.  Its been too long since the last podcast, so they tell you what they've been doing with their time, as well as what the Cubs and Marlins have been up to. They also echo the sentiments of the rest of the country outside of Red Sox Nation and Yankee Universe by stating how sick they are of Red Sox vs. Yankees and how there are better rivalries out there, including one between their two favorite teams. Plus, more NBA coverage, Odom re-signing with the Lakers, and the fanalysts being proven right about 2010 by two of the most respected basketball journalists.  Finally they present a tribute to one of the best directors of all time. (RIP John Hughes) All this plus the pompous ass list and saying good bye to Brett Favre (finally!)

Possible new projects, rants, the lift on the ban of making fun of Texas, and the last time you'll hear the name Favre on our podcast ever again until he officially calls it quits.

Plus we learn that neither Texas, nor Colorado are located in the Midwest, but Illinois most certainly is, and just in case that doesn't offend enough Texans, we discuss the Cowboys playoff chances and why they'd be better had they hired their brilliant offensive line coach instead of Wade Phillips.
